Bio&Me joins FutureMeds in The Sunday Times Top 100, making this our second portfolio company to reach the list.
HGL Private Capital is proud to announce that portfolio company Bio&Me has been named in The Sunday Times Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in the UK.
Since investing in Bio&Me in 2024, the business has grown sales by 75% year-on-year, followed by a further 74% the year after, putting them on a £20 million run rate. For a brand still in its early years, that trajectory is exceptional.
What makes this recognition particularly significant is that Bio&Me is the second HGL Private Capital portfolio company to reach this list, despite operating in an entirely different sector to FutureMeds — the European clinical site-management organisation backed by HGL in 2021, which received the same recognition before going on to a successful exit.
Founded by Dr Megan Rossi, Research Fellow at King’s College London, and Jon Walsh, Bio&Me has built a food brand with science at its foundation and the commercial momentum to back it up. The business sells gut-health breakfast products across major UK supermarkets and has established itself as the fastest-growing brand in the space.
Jon Walsh, CEO of Bio&Me, said:
“As our backgrounds are being a Research Fellow at King’s College London and a Marketing Director at Nestlé, Dr Megan and I are delighted to have HGL Private Capital on board as a key investor in Bio&Me, helping to strengthen and challenge every element of our plans from a financial and investor point of view. The fact they are lovely people to work with is the icing on the cake.”
At HGL Private Capital, we back founders who know their market and have the ambition to scale. Bio&Me exemplifies exactly that, and we look forward to supporting the next phase of their growth.
